It is our hope that the following information will be helpful in regards to any initial concerns you may have. We are happy to speak with you over the phone or via email as well, should you have questions or concerns not addressed here or in the FAQ tab.
Before your first session: Once we have scheduled a session, I will send a link to your email with the necessary intake paperwork. Filling out the intake paperwork in its entirety ahead of time is necessary for securing your appointment time. Feel free to reach out to our clinic administrator via email with any questions.
When you arrive for your first session: Our office is located at: 2013 Green Acres Road, Suite C Fayetteville AR 72703 Turn in beside Half Moon Oral Surgery and we are in the blue and white building at the end of the parking lot. Please feel free to park in the spaces along the blue and white building, and our entrance is at the end of the building (see below). Once you arrive, please be seated in the waiting area and your therapist will greet you at your scheduled appointment time. Help yourself to the tea station located in the lobby. If you have any questions or need help finding our office, please do not hesitate to call 479-900-2455.
During Your First Session: The purpose of the first session is for you and your therapist to get to know one another and explore what brought you to the clinic. This first session will focus especially on your current struggles and your goals for therapy, as these will be the guiding forces in the therapy process. You'll also discuss a tentative plan for therapy, including how often to meet and which modalities might be most helpful. It is important in all sessions, and perhaps especially in this first session, that you ask any questions or bring up any concerns you may have. Open and honest communication is foundational for effective therapy, and our therapists are always happy to address anything you would like to bring up.
Therapy is about you and for you. You bring the material and you set the pace. This is your process.
